Use this page for the latest celebration reminders, parking notes, food updates, safety information, and weekend logistics.

Friday Reminders

  • Library hours: 9:00 AM–1:00 PM.
  • Shirts & merch: If you ordered online or in person, please pick up your order at the Hooper Public Library.
  • History books & brochures: Books, self-guided tour brochures, and donation opportunities will be available at the library.
  • Community meal: Bring your quarters for the 25¢ meal ticket. Donations are welcome whether or not you have a quarter.
  • Opening ceremony: Planned outside near the auditorium/park area.
  • Bathtub races: Main Street.

Saturday Reminders

  • Library hours: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM with historical items on display and water available.
  • Food trucks: Located near the north end of the playground/park area.
  • Vendors: Located in the grass area east of the auditorium.
  • Car show: Main Street will be blocked off in the morning. Vehicles should be cleared by 3:30 PM for the parade.
  • Parade: Lineup begins at 4:00 PM. Parade begins at 5:00 PM.
  • Park activities: Kids games, fishing fun at the Old Lake, water fights, bingo, and Jordan Larson’s Q&A will all take place throughout the day.

Fireworks & Parking

  • Fireworks: Saturday at dusk on the east end of town.
  • Rain date: July 11.
  • Road closure: Winslow Road from the corner of Redeemer to the gravel road will be blocked off starting at 7:00 PM.
  • Maps: Visit the Maps page before arriving.

Safety, Cooling & Services

  • Cooling/storm shelter: The auditorium will be open throughout the celebration.
  • First aid: First aid will be available. For a real medical emergency, call 911.
  • Restrooms: Additional portable restrooms have been added.
  • Dumpsters: Extra dumpsters have been arranged for the weekend.
  • Communication: Event volunteers will have radios, and local law enforcement will be on duty.
  • Open businesses: Uptown businesses including The Office, Sweet & Saucy, the grocery store, and other local businesses will be open during the weekend.

Sunday & Cleanup

  • Church service: Sunday at 9:00 AM in the stadium area. Bring lawn chairs; dugout seating may also be available.
  • Food: Table Grace will be available Saturday and Sunday, with breakfast/brunch options for sale.
  • Community cleanup: Volunteers are appreciated after the celebration. Please help us restore the park and community areas.
  • Share memories: After the celebration, community members will be invited to submit favorite 150th Celebration memories and photos to be featured on the website.
