Effective: August 25, 2026 · Version: 2026-08-25.2
1. Agreement and purpose
These Terms of Use govern access to the private Celebrate Hooper Committee Hub (the “Hub”). By requesting an account, accepting an invitation, or using the Hub, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Committee Hub Privacy Policy.
The Hub is a volunteer planning tool for Hooper’s 2027 Fourth of July Celebration and related committee work. It is not an emergency service or an official City of Hooper government service unless a page expressly says otherwise.
2. Eligibility and account approval
Access is limited to people approved by a Hub administrator. The Hub is not intended for children under 13. A volunteer under 18 should use the Hub only with permission from a parent or legal guardian and the committee administrator.
Provide accurate account information. Keep your password private, do not share your account, and notify the administrator promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission. Administrators may approve, deny, disable, or revoke access when reasonably necessary to protect the committee, the event, or other users.
The master readiness checklist, permit tracker, and risk register are restricted to administrators and one active member designated by an administrator as the Readiness Lead. That designation may be changed or removed as committee leadership changes.
3. Appropriate use
Use the Hub only for legitimate committee planning. You may not:
- Harass, threaten, impersonate, discriminate against, or intentionally mislead another person.
- Upload malware, attempt to bypass security, probe other accounts, or interfere with the Hub.
- Post confidential personal, financial, medical, government-identification, or payment-card information.
- Upload content you do not have permission to use, or violate copyright, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
- Use committee contact information for unrelated solicitation, political campaigning, spam, or resale.
4. Event information and approvals
Members may propose events, upload planning materials, request announcements, and suggest revisions. A proposal or marketing request is not approved merely because it appears inside the Hub. Administrators decide what is approved and what appears on the public CelebrateHooper.com schedule or social media.
You are responsible for the accuracy of information you submit, including dates, times, locations, accessibility details, costs, registration links, permissions, and organizer contact information. Tell an administrator promptly if approved information becomes inaccurate or unsafe.
Volunteer sign-ups and vendor or sponsor inquiries are requests for committee review, not confirmed assignments, placements, contracts, benefits, or approvals. The committee may contact an applicant, request more information, place a volunteer on a waitlist, decline an inquiry, or change an assignment as planning and safety needs require.
5. Your content and permission to use it
You retain ownership of content you submit. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to share it. You grant the Celebrate Hooper Committee a nonexclusive, royalty-free permission to store, copy, edit, format, and use that content for committee planning and, after approval, to promote or document the celebration on CelebrateHooper.com, committee email, social media, printed materials, and related community communications.
Do not upload material that must remain strictly confidential. Hub pages require an account, but files or external sharing links can be copied, forwarded, or later approved for public use.
6. Committee communications
The Hub may send operational emails such as invitations, password links, event decisions, meeting notices, volunteer or partner submission notices, assignments, and committee updates. Keep your email address current. Contact the administrator if you no longer want to participate; disabling an account may also stop access to essential committee communications.
7. Moderation, records, and account closure
Administrators may edit labels, organize content, return proposals for revision, remove unsafe or unlawful material, preserve an activity record, or disable accounts. If your participation ends, ask the administrator to close your account. Some planning records, approvals, public event history, security logs, and backups may be retained as described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Availability and responsibility
The Hub is provided for volunteer coordination and may be changed, interrupted, or unavailable. Members should independently confirm safety-critical, financial, permitting, insurance, and vendor information. To the extent permitted by law, the committee and site administrators are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses caused by reliance on inaccurate member-submitted information, third-party links, or temporary service interruptions.
9. Changes and governing law
These Terms may be updated as the Hub or committee process changes. Material updates will be posted with a new version date and may require acceptance before continued access. These Terms are governed by applicable United States and Nebraska law, without limiting rights that cannot legally be waived.
10. Contact
Questions, account closure requests, or reports of inappropriate content can be sent to jindrawebdev@gmail.com.
